Le podría dar 5 estrellas si explicaran claramente como se deberían de pronunciar las palabras y frases.
El personaje de "Luis" el "mexicano" que llega a San FCO Ca. Su pronunciacion es como si afuerzas debes de tener un "acento" para hablar el Inglés, es decir si de verdad quieren hacer un curso para aprender el Idioma inglés deberían de usar 100% Maestros Nativos Norte Americanos, que tengan su acento adecuado para poder aprenderlo, y no aprender un inglés y hablarlo con "acento" Y en verdad sí se puede aprender en 100 Días paro hablarás como si no hubieras solamente tenido un diccionario.

Buen curso de referencia para seguir aprendiendo. por el precio y su libro vale la pena, pero las formas de expresarse y como pronuncian las palabras recomendaría ver peliculas con subtitulos en ingles para ir adaptandose al sonido de cada palabra.

Investigando y estudiando varios cursos les voy a recomendar un curso que se puede encontrar en amazon y es mucho mas barato. es el curso de LIVING LANGUANGE PARA APRENDER INGLES. BUSQUENLO ASi> LIBRO DE CLASES EN INGLES REVISADO Y ACTUALIZADO.
viene con 2 cassettes y su libro bien completo y diccionario. a diferencia de el anunciado aqui de 100 dias es como mucho ruido y pocas nuces, yo voy mucho mas avanzado con el Living Language llevo Frances y ahora ingles.

Better than textbooks

I got this as a gift for a native Spanish-speaking friend. She already understood many of the basics of English and has a good basic vocabulary. But she says that this book has been amazing and that she has learned a lot of useful things already. She said it is easy to understand and contains many of the phrases that people actually say and use in daily conversation. I also notice that her English has improved since getting this.

About the Author

Pauline Greenhill is professor of women’s and gender studies at the University of Winnipeg. She was co-editor with Liz Locke and Theresa Vaughan of the Encyclopedia of Women’s Folklore and Folklife. Her newest book is Channeling Wonder: Fairy Tales on Television (co-edited with Jill Terry Rudy). Her work has appeared in Signs, Marvels & Tales, Resources for Feminist Research, Journal of American Folklore, Canadian Journal of Women and the Law, and parallax, among others. Diane Tye is professor of folklore at Memorial University of Newfoundland. She is author of Baking as Biography: A Life Story in Recipes and co-editor with Pauline Greenhill of Undisciplined Women: Tradition and Culture in Canada. Mike Vardy's THE FRONT NINE is an intelligent productivity book that bridges a beloved sports analogy with the ever-popular subjects of personal productivity and task- and skill-management. Vardy opens THE FRONT NINE by laying out a three-step process (each step represents one of the three sections of the book) that guides the reader to start executing upon resolutions, ideas, projects and goals through simple tactics and intelligent methods that guide you to seeing those goals through to completion.

What distinguishes THE FRONT NINE from other productivity books I've read is Vardy's approach to teaching productivity through foundational concepts of personal development and human psychology -- things like the practical, simple but oft-overlooked strategies behind confident decision-making and understanding personal priorities before pursuing meaningful goals.

True to form, THE FRONT NINE wishes to help its readers create meaningful work through productivity, and so the book continually speaks to the reader in meaningful ways. Throughout THE FRONT NINE, Vardy's voice and tone are refreshingly friendly and engaging, and I felt the author speaking to the reader like a friend instead of a productivity line. To me, that matters a lot. And if you enjoy reading great content that helps you create more meaningful work (in spite of our busy and noisy world), THE FRONT NINE will keep you "teeing up" hole after hole, no matter the weather.

not much new here. was like wading through miles of unnecessary metaphor for a kernel here and there. was worth the couple of bucks for a couple of useful ideas, but maybe not worth the time to skim through all the fluff.

Productivityist Mike Vardy put together this guide to help those who might be stalling, not sure where to start in order to reach a goal, change a habit, or complete a project. While Vardy often writes about productivity -- getting the most out of your time -- The Front Nine is more about making the time you have work for you.

I'm not a golfer, but but the metaphor that Vardy carries through the book works: from teeing off to finishing on the green and even how to deal with hazards. While some of the advice seems almost obvious, there is enough insight in this short book to generate some aHa moments, especially for those facing a bigger project that they are having trouble breaking down into its components.

While many people start fresh or start something new in January, Vardy argues you can get your start any time you want with just a little planning, practice, and follow through.

KaeDee is no longer able to keep the cool demeanor that he is known for having once he realizes that it's more to Deonna's suicide. Once a pretty Detective walks into his life and turns things upside down for him, KaeDee finds out the woman he married is only one of many. It all seems to break him down and forces him to be angry at the world, even his brothers. Mistakes are made and KaeDee is unable to keep it together and is quickly falling apart, but what happens when the one person he's never noticed is the one to piece him back together? In the midst of all the madness, will KaeDee see that his true soulmate had been hiding in the shadows all along.


Dae's finally forced to face his problems now that he has nowhere to turn. Realizing that the only person that he could count on is the one to put him in his predicament, will Dae finally get his life together or will it be too late for him?

The newest addition to the Prince brothers saga is home. The wild hair, funny looking eyes Cassidy has touched down and back to claim the only woman he's ever loved but things won't be so easy for him. His past issues was never resolved and the secret he's been holding onto has no choice but to be revealed. He works hard to fix all the issues he's caused. Once the smoke finally clears, will Cassidy have his woman, or will end up paying for more of his mistakes in the end?

Crazy pass baby mommas

Lord I can't take this ending, I know Khi is not crazy enough to think Cuba would really be hooked on drugs. That damn Briana is a scandalous bird frfr. I know it's going to come to them that this trick did something to Cuba and Khi need to put a gun in her mouth and pull the trigger. I'm still trying to figure out this detective motives. Cass has lost Tangie this time for good and I hope Dae pull thru so he can be there for his son. Too many stars are requested to rate this story. Great job Shan

Another sad cliff hanger

Don't get me wrong i enjoyed the book but i am so over books that continue to leave you on the edge. Another cliff hanger like omg wtf can this story but end. Hopefully book 3 will have a ending because in still waiting in like 3 other books that should've been dropped before others were in the making

Wow!!! Great Part 2! Spoilers:-)

Part 2 was soooo good. I guess it was time for the secrets to come out. There a place in hell for Briana. I can't believe Khi does so much for her. Why does Cuba have fight for his attention???? How can Briana get away with so much. Cuba gets the short end of the stick. She was poisoned and she lost the baby. She gets booked and jailed while pregnant. Now, she's a forced junky thanks to Briana. Why can't Khi see what others see? You saw this crackhead high with a man in her bed. She stole your product to get high. She mistreated and never cared for your daughter, but yet you still let her be around you and your family. Trust has been broken too many times. You know she wants you back and you still taking care of her. The last straw was his exes staying with Cuba at the house. It just seemed like Cuba was too good for him. She took care of his daughter, house, cooking, cleaning, etc... She did so much and look where she ended because of him. P!east don't make her a crackhead. I love Tangie and Cass. I wish he never slept with Tam, but he was locked up for 4 years and needed a release since Tangie wasn't giving him chance.:-). I hope Dae pulls through. Still upset with how he treated Amber. I hope Khi sees through Briana this time. This is going on too long. I mean seriously. I don't think I couldn't take him all of sudden thinking Cuba is a junkie and getting with Briana. I know his first reaction is to be mad, but hopefully when the dust settles he is there for her like she was for him. I can't wait until Briana gets her karma. Tam needs a beatdown too. She knew Cass was Tangie's man and still went after her boss' man. Anxious for part 3. Please don't prolong this Briana thing. Only Dae had a clue, but I doubt anyone would think Briana was the snake they were looking for. Anyway, another banger. Now, part 3 please. Also, we didn't see much about Dae's triangle. Would love to hear from Amber and Tamar's sister. Was a little bored with Kaedae and the detective. Man, Deona or whoever she was had everyone fooled. Didn't see that one coming. Thanks again and can't wait until part 3.

About the Author
John Ritchie (1853-1930) was a Bible teacher in Scotland, Wales, and England. Ritchie authored more than 200 books, among them Feasts of Jehovah, From Egypt to Canaan, and Tabernacle in the Wilderness.

In this Peter Mayle readalike, Greene, an award-winning poet (To the Left of the Worshiper), chronicles the restoration of a historic stone presbytery in the village of Rogny, Burgundy. Not surprisingly, the book is extremely well written, even lyrical in parts. We learn about the history of the presbytery from its original construction in 1754 and Greene's dealings with roofers and masons, neighbors, and assorted residents of Rogny, such as Coco, who expresses assent with a "ho-kay." Amid the minutiae of restorations, major events occur, too. There is the author's own wedding to Mary, a molecular biologist at the Pasteur Institute in Paris and an American expatriate; musical soirees; and the arrival of the author's mother from New Haven for a permanent stay. An American renovates a house in France! But what's new here is that the house is in the Burgundy town of Rogny. The region of La Puisaye, with its swamps and murky woods, lacks the immediate attraction of Provence or Normandy. The American builder is celebrated poet Greene and his companion, Mary, a renowned scientist currently at the University of Paris. After finding nothing fit for their taste or budget in better-known Burgundian towns, the author's real estate agent leads them to remote Rogny. Reconstruction efforts center on the town's presbytery, abandoned by the church and its previous owner and ripe for restoration. Friends of the last priest to occupy the grounds and town tradesmen make up the cast of characters, whom Greene makes into neither caricatures nor odd rustics. As always, reconstruction absorbs more time and money than the author had anticipated. The property takes on sentimental significance when Greene and his companion decide to get married there and their families descend on the little town. So attractive the place becomes that Greene's mother emigrates from America. Mark Knoblauch

Jeffrey Greene received his MFA from the University of Iowa and his Ph.D. from the University of Houston. He is the author of To the Left of the Worshiper and American Spirituals, which won the 1998 Samuel French Morse Prize. He was also the winner of the Randall Jarrell Prize and the Discovery/The Nation Award. His work has appeared in The New Yorker, The Nation, and many other journals and anthologies. He lives in Paris.

wonderful book

Books about families buying a home overseas visit a set of standard themes. There is the search for the house, the renovation nightmare, making friends in the community, visits to local shops and fairs. This book is no exception, but what makes it worthwhile is the quality of the writing. The author is a a poet, and while this is not a book of poetry his skill at writing comes thru at every turn.

I loved this book, but I am biased.

Jeff is my cousin and am naturally biased. I read the book after my first visit to France with my two children in tow, mainly to visit my auntie.
I loved how the book started and then it slowed down a bit for me. Shortly after that I could not put it down to find out what happened next. I prefer fiction over other categories. I think one can learn more about the precursors to the Russian revolution by reading Tolstoy as opposed to a history book. So I did start reading the book with some reserve because it was not the type of book I would have chosen to read and it was by my cousin and I worried about not liking it.
I would recommend this book to anyone. It is delightful and funny.
To the reader that wondered about Jeff's mother, she is still living in the Presbytere. She is over 80 now and going strong. I spent a delightful 3 weeks with her last fall in CT, Rogny, and Brittany by the ocean. I saw my cousin during this visit and was a guinea pig for part of his new book about eating edible -- wildlife or something. He teased me about my part of his research was harvesting and eating the limpets that are abundant on the Brittany coast. He always had me laughing and I think his subtle humor translated well in French Spirits. He had to leave Brittany early because of family illness. So I sucked it up and cooked and ate some limpets which actually were quite good. I can't wait for this book.
